We used our long-term 2022 Kia Carnival to assist with a staff relocation from Detroit to Los Angeles. We encountered everything from rain to sleet and even snow and unrelenting sun.
With three senior rescue animals in tow and a boatload of stuff to transport, we couldn't help but add a Yakima Roof Box.
Road grime is a fact of life on trips like this.
Yep, we packed it to the headliner. Here's a cold and ugly photo of a test fitting before we departed wintry Michigan.
Fuel economy could've been better, but the drag-adding roof box and our editor's heavy right foot didn't help matters.
Over 6 days, 10 states and 2,300+ miles, the Kia performed flawlessly.
We have this long-term minivan for a year of testing.
